Paid listing disclosure

The short answer

Businesses can pay for a listing on a need-it-gone page. Every paid placement is labelled “Sponsored listing”. Listing fees do not buy a rating, review or endorsement, and the business cannot change the disposal options on the page. Display advertising, if enabled, is labelled separately.

What are the rules?

  • Free options always render above paid listings. There is no sort toggle and no exception.
  • Every paid listing carries a visible "Sponsored listing" label.
  • This disclosure appears on every page that carries a listing slot.
  • No payment may reorder tiers, remove a free option, or alter editorial copy.
  • The hoarding caveat on the professional organiser page stays visible regardless of who is paying.
  • We do not publish ratings or reviews of businesses we have not independently assessed, on the page or in structured data.
  • There are no affiliate links to storage products anywhere on the site.

Why does this matter?

Under Australian Consumer Law section 18, a paid placement presented as an impartial recommendation is misleading conduct. This disclosure is the compliance control. It is also why you can trust the free options on the page: nobody paid for them to be there, and nobody can pay for them to leave.

What about advertising?

Display advertising, if enabled, is served by a third-party network and labelled as advertising. It is never mixed into the free, low-cost or paid tiers and never affects what they say.
