The timed reset
Pick an area of the house, set five, ten, fifteen, twenty or thirty minutes, and follow the prompts until the chime goes, finished or not. Each area comes with its own short list and a suggested time: the entry in five, the bench in ten, the living room in fifteen, a whole-house sweep in thirty.
Which area?
Each one sets a suggested time and its own prompts. Change the time if you like.
- Everything off the bench onto the table
- Wipe it while it is bare
- Dishes into the dishwasher or the rack
- Put back only what you used this week
- Box what is left; deal with the box later
Three bags within reach: keep, goes, belongs in another room. Nothing gets carried anywhere until the chime. That is how ten minutes stays ten minutes.
What happens when the chime goes?
