Keeping the outdoor areas clean
Outside works on the same three layers as inside. Weekly: sweep the verandah, wipe the table, bins out and back, water the pots. Monthly: the BBQ, cobwebs, paths hosed, beds weeded, drains checked after rain. Each season: gutters before the rain and again before summer, furniture oiled or covered, the pool fence checked against the state rules.
The yard is the room people forget until someone is coming over. Same layers, same ticks.

What usually comes up?
Why gutters twice on this sheet?
Once before the autumn rain so the water goes where it should, and once before summer because dry leaves in a gutter are fuel. How much clearing your property needs is set by your state fire service, not by a sheet; this one reminds you to look.
What is a fine fuel?
Anything dry and small that catches quickly: leaf litter, dead grass, bark, twigs. Whether and how far to clear them around your house depends on where you live; your state fire service publishes what applies to your area, and that is the source to follow.
