The twelve-week home reset

The short answer

One zone a week for twelve weeks, in the order that works: entry, kitchen, fridge and pantry, living room, bathroom, bedroom, wardrobe, kids' rooms, office and paperwork, laundry and linen, garage, then the spare room and the car. Each week names what done looks like. Two sessions a week, bags out on Sunday.

Write the start date on week one and let the rest follow. Two sessions a week is enough; a whole weekend is not required.

What is on the sheet?

Week 1 Entry and hall

Shoes one pair each, hooks with room on them, a hall table with keys and nothing else.

What usually comes up?

What if a zone takes more than a week?

Give it two and let the plan slip. The order matters more than the dates; a garage done in week thirteen is still done. The room guides give a realistic time for each.

Why the entry first?

It is small, it is the first thing you see every day, and it is done in an evening. A visible win in week one carries a plan that has eleven weeks to go.
